Motorheads Cancelled at Amazon

Motorheads has, at last, come to a silent halt—its engine stilled, its journey paused.

The YA drama set in a high-octane car shop has been cancelled after just one season at Amazon’s Prime Video, as reported by Deadline. But all hope is not lost. The show’s producers are actively seeking a new network to breathe life back into the series.

“We set out to make a show with no agenda and a lot of heart,” shared executive producer Jason Seagraves in a heartfelt statement. “A show that families could gather around, bond over, and enjoy together. While John A. Norris and I are deeply disappointed that Motorheads won’t be continuing on Prime Video, we couldn’t be prouder of what our team accomplished. Despite launching with little visibility, our loyal and passionate fanbase rose to the challenge—they roared louder than the engines on screen, making it impossible to ignore what we built. Their energy fuels us still, and we hold onto hope that we’ll find a new home that believes in this story, and in us.”

The series starred Michael Cimino and Melissa Collazo as Zac and Caitlyn, twin siblings who left the bustling streets of Brooklyn behind to start anew in the quiet, rust-belt town of Ironwood, Pennsylvania. Their mother, Samantha, portrayed with quiet strength by Nathalie Kelley, sought a fresh start—but found more than she bargained for. There, they crossed paths with Logan, a once-great NASCAR driver now running a modest auto body shop. The role, rich with regret and redemption, was brought to life by Ryan Phillippe.

By his side stood a colorful cast of young mechanics—each with dreams of their own. The ensemble included Uriah Shelton, Nicolas Cantu, and the promising young talent Deacon Phillippe, Ryan’s real-life son, whose presence added a layer of authenticity and warmth to the screen.

Motorheads first hit the road in May, releasing its full 10-episode debut season all at once—an emotional and mechanical journey that, while short-lived, left tire tracks on the hearts of many.
